New Topic Creation |
| Posted by Seiriko - 02-9-10 09:44 - 0 comments |

Please be careful when creating a new topic, and make sure it fits into the forum you are currently browsing when you hit the "new topic" button. Recently I've had to move a lot of topics into the proper forums. For instance, if you are talking about a video game, please make the thread in the video games forum. If you want to post a video, make sure it at least gets into the entertainment forum, if not where it belongs in the video forum. |

If LadyrootFIX contacts you in anyway, please ignore the messages and send me a screenshot. Any contact from this user should be handled the same way as with AdminLady's attack a few weeks ago. |

New Policy~ |
| Posted by Seiriko - 01-25-10 09:33 - 8 comments |

Images posted on the forums should not be larger than 800 pixels in width and should be 1MB or smaller in size.
I'm making this official so I can do something about it when it continues to happen (as I'm sure it will). If you are caught page-stretching, your "warn level" will be increased by 33% for each instance it occurs. Once your warn level reaches 100%, I will ban you for two months.
Now, what is page-stretching, you might ask? It is simply when a user posts an image that is significantly larger than the standard resolution of 1024x768, or more recently 1028x1024. I understand that some people may be proud of their high-res monitors, and if you wish to post a link to your image that is fine.
The Warn Level is a little bar that appears below your name, which I can increase or decrease as I feel necessary. It allows me to track who is being a pain, and who isn't. I hate to have to do this, but I will begin using it as of now.
The basis of "does it stretch the page" will be made on whatever computer I happen to be using to view the forums at the time it occurs. Keep in mind that I do in fact use a wide-screen resolution, and this is giving all of you quite a bit of leeway.
So, how do you prevent page stretching? Its quite simple. If you use tinypic.com while uploading your images, there is a convenient drop-down box which allows you to resize your images so they can be posted on the forums. Don't want to resize? After uploading your image through tinypic.com, it allows you to post a BBC Thumbnail. (BBC stands for Bulletin Board Code, and is what we use to format posts on the forums.) Please use either of these methods, or one of many others which are easily accessible on the internet.
As another note, if the problem is not resolved by the end of February, I will have no choice but to completely disable image posting on the forums all together. So if you appreciate being able to post screen shots and funny images, obey this new policy and everything will go well. |

Two new Emoticon sets! |

Just finished uploading two new emoticon sets~ You can only see one of them (the Red Fox set) but the others (and the older ones) are accessible if you click the "Show All" link under the emoticons when you go to make a post. I think I got them all off this site, but its hard to navigate... If you see any you'd like, please tell me. Though keep in mind every one must be added individually, so if there are a lot in the set it probably won't happen...

New Skin! |

I'm working on another new skin for the forums. This one still needs a lot of work, as the original buttons are in another language, so I have to make new ones for nearly everything. I'll be working to fix this as fast as possible. The new skin is accessible through the drop-down list on the front page regardless of this issue (which will be resolved shortly). |

Recent Lag Issues |

I just read an announcement from Clicdev saying that some boards were moved to a new server. Ours is one of the ones which has been transferred. So the lag issues should be resolved. (Hopefully). If not, let me know, and I'll post a response to their announcement. |
